Kyizha

Meet Kyizha! Kyizha is an 11 year old girl living with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities related to an extensive trauma history. She was adopted from foster care and lives with her mom, brother Kiko and dog Giffin. Kyizha has spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals, but she never gives up on herself. In her own words: “I love school. My favorite subject is math because it’s hard for me, but I want to learn more and get better at it. I also enjoy writing because it calms me when I’m stressed. I like to play basketball, draw, read, write, hang out with my friends, ride my bike and watch movies. I like to be creative with my mind and make things out of boxes. When I grow up I want to be a veterinarian because I love animals and I want to help them get better. (I also think they should be treated better.) I’ve never been to Disney World and I would love the opportunity to go and see what it’s like.”
